Yolanda M. Miller is our AFL-CIO/UWGC Labor Liaison, Manager, supporting working families in the Greater Cincinnati area. She mostly supports union members first and foremost. She believes being a union member means joining together having a voice at work. But working families face problems away from work as well. The AFL-CIO and United Way partner to assist working families through community service. Yolanda’s passion is to improve economic and social conditions in the communities where union members and their families live and work — building bridges to community allies and empowering workers.

Yolanda was been an active union member for the over thirty years. She is a member of LIUNA Local 265, where she is an Executive Board Member.  She is very active in the community and believes in giving back. She feels union members have a responsibility to work within their community to make a better place to live, to work, raise a family and retire.

Yolanda is a skilled construction worker, with training in Hazardous Removal Work, Asbestos Abatement, Heavy Highway, Rigger and Signaler, Flagger and has received many other certifications. She is proficient in the areas of drug treatment for union members, Workers Compensation, and Tax Preparation. She is an active member of the Cincinnati Branch of the NAACP where she is a member of the Executive Committee. She holds an associate degree in Electronics from Cincinnati Betz Business College and is an ordained Elder at her church.
